Winter Sales in Paris : starting on January 11th !

In France, we have two main periods for sales : one in January/ February for Winter Sales and one in July/ August for Summer sales. Of course, we also have several periods when shops grant discount and private sales. But Winter Sales is definitely the best period to get clothes, shoes, accessories and so on at best prices, up to -70% !

Winter Sales in Paris will start this Wednesday January 11th, and will last untilFebruary 14th (Valentine's day)

Here is a short review of the areas where you can go shopping during sales period :

First, we recommend to try these 2 very famous areas :

- Boulevard Haussman : you will find there several department stores : Printemps, Galerie Lafayette, Citadium (for sport and street style addicts)as well as basic shops.

- Rue de Rivoli : you will find there everything you need : all the major shops (including Etam, Fnac, Séphora, L'Occitane) plus the famous BHV (Bazar de l'Hôtel de Ville)

If you like shopping malls, you should try "Les 4 temps" at La Défense (10 minutes by train from St. Lazare station) : you will find there all the basic fashion shops (Camaïeu, Etam, Esprit, Kookaï, Naf, Naf, Comptoir des Cotonniers etc.) as well as more luxurious shops such as Guess or Lancel. You will also find the trendy Japanese shops Uniqlo and Muji.

You could also choose Les Halles Châtelet (but it's smaller than La Défense and there are much more people there).

If you like small designers, Le Marais will be a good choice.And you will find there all the trendy shops and concept stores such as  L'Eclaireur, Merci or Vanessa Bruno.

To enjoy a not only luxurious but also artistic atmosphere, you can go to St Germain des Prés. There, you will be able to shop in Kenzo, Sonia Rykiel, Gérard Darel and many others ! (and also you can make a stop at many pastry and chocolate shops !).
